Oh my goodness I absolutely love love loved this book! It was SO good. Although I really enjoyed Stephenson's Diamond Age, I have to admit Peircy's novel is definitely my favorite! I really enjoyed her style of writing, it was so smooth and easy to follow. Her terms weren't so over my head as they were in Neuromancer and it was so much easier to wrap my head around! I really couldn't put it down. Put along with Diamond Age, this book took me longer to read than I had hoped, probably because it too, had a lot of interesting information on each page. I loved everything that Piercy explored throughout her book, but I must admit I did not get the whole feminism vibe from her until I re-read through some of the quotes that I marked throughout. I'm not really quite sure how I could have missed such an important aspect of the book. I have to admit I researched a little about Marge Peircy after reading the book, I was very interested in her writings. I'm definitely going to have to read her other novels. But I do post the question of: Why was her novel named something different in the Uk? That boggled my mind a bit. I suppose I kind of missed the feminst aspect of the novel because I was really focussing on the relationship aspect of the characters. There is so much to explore with each! Everything about the novel and the characters was so interestesting and I think I will choose to write my final paper on this! I really think that the product of my final paper would be the best by going with this novel. I hope I'm correct! Props to Marge Peircy for writing such an intense and interesting cyberpunk novel and putting her own twist to it!
