What are your reading and writing habits? (i.e. what do you like to write and read?)
I loved almost everything I read during my undergraduate studies. I have done little to no writing outside of the academic world. I really like Shakespeare, Jane Austin, and a variety of poets.

it seems like we have pretty well exhausted our discussions for the time being. I noticed a little last minute push of class participation. I guess we are all trying to make sure we keep on top of our game :-) Continue

finishing touches

I am enjoying a chance to just read other people's thoughts and comments now. It is so nice to have a chance to digest things rather than be scrambling to read the texts, write reviews, and still follow all the discussions. It feels so easy when we only have to focus on one aspect now!
I am currently on page 7 of my 20 page paper for Victorian Lit. I am a terribly slow writer. I definitely feel the crunch on me to get the work done... but I just can't speed up. I spend forever in the research. I… Continue

Friday Night

I posted my final paper on the wiki and tried to read other papers, but I could only find one at that time. It was fun to read someone else thoughts on the novels.
I finished the last book late last night. I can't believe how much I have read and written since July 1st! I have enjoyed the classes. It is like being in a couple of intense book clubs and getting a grade for it!

Done... Done.... Done!!!!!

If you could hear me say my post title it would sound like the musical notes. maybe it should be typed dun dun dunnnn.... or something like that. Anyway, I am officially done writing my paper. I spent from 12pm to 5pm in the library today. Then I dealt with editing and citation for the last hour or so... hopeful that aspect of it is fine. It has been so long since i have had to format a paper! I looked a lot up, but I am just hoping I have it all right. I am going to have my husband read it for… Continue

Writing, writing some more, and writing again.....

I spent from 1:00pm-5pm at the SUNY Library today working on my paper for this class. I went straight from the library to my other class. I have been home for about 45 minutes now. I spent a little time saying goodnight to the kids (who were already in bed) and chatting with my husband. I was telling my husband about my paper. He was laughing at me that I only have 5 and a half pages typed out. I just have been reading and writing a lot, but not much of it has made it to the final draft of the p… Continue

LOL! I knew I would hear from you. It's only because he started with me:) I was just hoping to leave a few random comments before the weekend because I will not be doing anything school-related this weekend! Good luck on your mission. See you Monday!

Rebecca,
I agree about Scenes on a Clerical Life. I need to read another chunk of that tomorrow before class and I am midway through Distraction. It's not that good. The characters are stock and I am not really enjoying it. I hope it will get better but I read that blog too and I don't have hope. I do plan to start both papers this week...LOL. It probably won't happen as I have to leave for Empire State Games on Wednesday and will be gone until Saturday. Oh well. We'll talk tomorrow:) Good luck this week. Trust me, if I didn't have Empires, I would LOVE to babysit:)

oops. I guess this picture is causing some confusion. This is me with my first son, Grady, when he was born almost three years ago. I just happen to like the picture so I used it. I'll make sure to post when baby #2 , Charlotte, is born. Thanks in a advance for the congratulations.

i'm glad to know someone else feels as i do! i was so afraid everyone would have me trumped in both experience with the genre and technical aspect, so i'm glad to know i'm not alone.

By the way, your children are beautiful! i have a 3 year old son as well.

hmmm... I'm not exactly sure what problem you are having. If you click on the link for your blog at the top of the page, that will take you to the blog (it also appears on your main page). If you go to your blog page you should see a link that says "Add New Blog Post." It's on the upper right hand side of the page.

As for logging out... you see the "Sign Out" link in the sidebar at the top? What happens when you click it?

Hello! Yeah I just started the first 10 pages or so and it's kind of hard to get into for me as well. A lot of times I feel that way but once I get further into the reading I can enjoy and understand it more. Your sons are adorable as well!
