Tell us a little about yourself and your interest in the course you're taking.
I am a commuter to SUNY Cortland, and am currently a senior. I will graduate in the spring with my BA in communication studies, and currently have no plans as to what I'll be doing with the degree, but will probably pursue something in the advertising field. I am taking this course online because it fits well with my schedule, I like online courses, and the commute is much shorter :-)
What are your reading and writing habits? (i.e. what do you like to write and read?)
Reading habits: I enjoy pretty much any and all fiction, especially crime novels, mystery, suspense, etc... Writing habits: I feel like I only have time to write for school assignments, but outside of that I don't do any writing, journaling, blogging, or whatnot...

Podcast #2

I just uploaded podcast #2 (wee bit late, sorry!) but OMG. It was a million times easier this time! So simple, less editing, and a lot less pulling my hair out. I remembered how to save the file and what program to use, thanks to all of my trouble on the first podcast, and the ease of uploading #2 made podcasting a much, much more enjoyable experience. After the technical trouble with #1 I thought I'd never, ever want to do a podcast again... but now I'm thinking, since it's so easy, I could get… Continue

Highrise

I joined TaDaLists.com because I am obsessed with making To Do lists. Even if I don’t get everything done, I just like to see what I need or want to do. From the Ta Da list page I found links to other sites, and the one I chose to look at and join was Highrise. It is an “online contact manager” and boasts that you can “Keep track of who your business talks to, what was said, and what to do next.” I watched a demo video and it seemed like I could probably use this and adapt it to work with… Continue

Podcasting / Mixcraft

Now that it’s done and I’ve figured out all the glitches, I thought the Podcasting assignment was great! I had a lot of trouble when it came time to upload my podcast though. I used Audacity, which I have always used and felt was a good program. However, when I tried to save my file as a .wav and .mp3, both were messed up. One was skippy and one kept pausing and making a clicking noise. I looked up Garage Band and realized it was only for Macs, which I don’t have and have no clue how to use. But… Continue

Ta Da Lists

I joined TaDaLists.com because I’m a list-maker to the extremes! I love To Do lists and I have tons of them all over the place, and I’m always trying to keep up with them or combine them but eventually I just lose them or run out of space on my paper! But Ta Da Lists is great because it is easy to use, very simply laid out, and I can keep all of my lists together. I can even make multiple lists for different types of things (i.e. school, personal, etc.) and they are still in the same place and I… Continue

Can Ya Digg It?

I have seen others blogging about Digg.com, so I figured I’d try to keep up and give the site a look. Unfortunately, I am now hooked on it! I never really got into YouTube unless someone sent me a link to it, but Digg is great! I especially like their Election 2008 coverage, and I’ve found a lot of articles and videos that I would have never found otherwise. I also like how they’ve sectioned off news about each candidate, which makes it easier to navigate. I am really enjoying being able to sit… Continue

I noticed that you said you were only on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you want we can all meet up Tuesday afternoon at about 4:15 in the library or when you're free.
