Tell us a little about yourself and your interest in the course you're taking.
I'm a senior at cortland, but I'm not graduating until next May because I'm a dual major in English/Professional Writing. I'm from Binghamton, which is about 45 minutes from here, but I live in Cortland during the school year. I work at the Bookmark Cafe in the library (for all you coffee lovers, stop by). I'm in CWA and we're currently working on putting together the literary magazine, Transitions...we're always looking for new members if you're interested! After college I'd like to go to Hunter College in Manhattan for grad school and get my masters in Education and Editing. I'm not sure if I want teach High School English or become a magazine editor. I also plan on taking an internship in Ireland in the fall. :)
I was interested in this course because I have a blog and a website and would like to learn about new ways to use the internet. The website I'm working on is for the clothes I design as a hobby. I was also interested in this course as a future teacher and perhaps learning ways to incorporate these technologies into classrooms.
What are your reading and writing habits? (i.e. what do you like to write and read?)
I try to write almost everyday. I usually write blog entries, poems, or short fiction pieces. I don't watch TV much so I read in my spare time. I'm currently reading the Twilight Series. I find myself reading more adolescent literature because I plan on teaching it some day.
