lol... okay, so I changed my profile picture and added some that make the genders of my children a little more clear. I actually have a son, and two daughters :-)

I definitely agree with Alex. It has been a bit of a rough start getting into Neuromancer, but I am warming up to it. It is getting kind of fun. It hasn't won me over as the type of book I would pick up on my own yet.... but who knows by the end of the book..... or maybe it will be the end of the course.... or maybe I'll only enjoy in the academic world :-) We shall see! Your son is adorable by the way.

I am a little unfamiliar with cyberpunk and scifi but I hope I will figure things out pretty easily.

Hello Kelli. I hope you find the reading in this course interesting. If you are unfamiliar with cyberpunk or scifi in general, you may find the genre a little alienating at first.

Profile Information

Tell us a little about yourself and your interest in the course you're taking.
I am a senior at SUNY Cortland finishing up my degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education. This is my very last class and then I begin student teaching in the fall. This class is a substitution class for me to complete my concentration in English. I am a proud mother of my three year old son, Jaiden!
What are your reading and writing habits? (i.e. what do you like to write and read?)
Unfortunately I find little time to do any reading or writing outside of my school work. I do enjoy reading true stories of people's personal experiences. I find it extremely hard to read something that I find little interest in.
How would you describe your general attitude toward computers and related technology?
Comfortable but not super excited
What "Web 2.0" websites do you use?
YouTube

DONEEEEE!!!!

I cannot believe that I can say that I am officially done with college classes (until I begin my masters.....ewww)! I feel very relieved and excited to have accomplished this online class. I learned to much from Dr. Reid and my classmates. I cannot wait to go to sleep tonight without having to read!!!! haha Thank you everyone and good luck in whatever you do!

Praying!!!

I just finished my third book review.....very late! I didn't feel comfortable writing my review on Distraction because I found it a hard read so I chose to do it on Little Brother which I found much more interesting and fun to read. With that choice I also chose to hand in my review late which I'm praying is still acceptable!!!!!!! I need to now work on my final paper as that will be quite a task for me!

Busy week

I have had a very busy past week between family events and outings and have found myself getting behind once again. It is so stressful when I get behind and it makes me so nervous. I still have not posted my third book review but am certain I will be able to finish it for tomorrow (lets pray)!!!

Book Review #2....Done!

I just finished my the second book review...a little last minute but I got it done! Now there are only two more books to read, one more review, and the final paper (not looking forward to this!)....the class is almost over already. I love having a five week class but the work load is quite frightening at times.

Still reading...

I am still reading He. She, and It and I find myself enjoying it even more. I didn't think I could get into this cyberpunk stuff but I found that I was wrong. I think this text is very interesting and hard to put down at times. Tonight I posted on the He, She, and It discussion on the wiki. I added some interesting quotes that I have found in the text so far and my thoughts and ideas about them. I'm hoping to finish the book on Friday and get the book review done as well.
