Professional Web Identity

My choice for my professional web identity I will be choosing Linkedin.com. This seems to be the most logical choice considering the site is devoted to creating professional correspondents as well as creating an online resume to send to prospective employers. There really doesn't seem to be a way on the site to ruin your reputation like on facebook where someone can tag an image of you doing an embarrassing action. As my resume builds and my education continues, I will update this site frequentl… Continue

Pownce.com

For the last social networking site I took a look at Pownce.com. Pownce is a website created by Digg founder Kevin Rose and the goal of this site combines a number of social sites into one. The features of Pownce are much like the sites Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook all rolled into one.

Flickr.com

One of the biggest features on most social networking sites is the ability to share images with all of your friends. There are now even networking sites devoted entirely to the sharing of images and the most popular one out there seems to be Flickr.com. The basis of Flickr is simple, upload images to the site, tag them with a description, title, and keywords and put them on your profile for all to view. The layout is very simple to navigate around in which aids people to find what they are looki… Continue

Linkedin.com

I have recently been introduced to the website Linkedin.com. This website provides a profile to your past and present work and education experience much like other sites such as monster.com and careerbuilder.com. It seems to be a great way to build an online resume which can be sent to prospective companies. You can also use the site to build a contact list consisting of other people in the same field as yours (or other fields) in order to learn about new job availabilities as well as staying co… Continue

Digg.com

I noticed a couple of other people blogging about digg.com and I can only add to these discussions as I have been enjoying digg for a couple of years now. For those who don't know digg.com is a social news networking site and what this means is users can log in a and share news stories or websites with the digg community who vote on the sites by "digging" them. The stories which received the most diggs appear on the front page for all to view and vote upon. With enough diggs, the stories will re… Continue

Tues 4:15 would be perfect for me if it works for everyone else. Also, do we want to do brainstorming Tuesday, or do that before Tuesday and try to shoot everything when we meet and get it done?
