- Tell us a little about yourself and your interest in the course you're taking.
- I'm a PhD student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My degree, when (if?) it arrives in the mail, will be in Rhetoric and Composition with a concentration in online discourses and digital literacies. I graduated from Boston University way back in 1992 and spent the next ten years working at newspapers, Web sites, and software companies. If you've ever had trouble understanding a software manual, you might be able to blame me.
- What are your reading and writing habits? (i.e. what do you like to write and read?)
- Reading: I'm studying for comps, so a lot of my reading of late has been translated from ancient Greek. In general, I enjoy reading texts about the Internet, discussion boards, and sci fi.
Writing: I've been trying to write more regularly, but I often only log an hour of writing a day.
